I really love to cook. I’m no gourmet chef, but if I’m in the mood, it’s very satisfying. The kitchen can be a very creative and therapeutic place. It’s a little bit like songwriting since everybody goes about it a little different.
Soup is one of my favorite things to make. There are so many variations and kinds, it never gets old. I also find making it healthy the greatest challenge. This takes more time because you have to make your own stock and remove the grease and fat after it cools. Plus, I usually don’t open any cans. Almost everything you use from a can is loaded with sodium, preservatives and bad stuff. So, on a regular basis I give Pam my Man Card and put on my chef’s hat. Bon appétit, y’all!
