I just returned home from a four day mini-tour. The gigs were better than I expected. There was a lot of driving this time. I was really tired as I drove home late Sunday night. As I drove, I reflected on what a great little career I have thanks to those fans of original music, the ones who put together the house concerts, festivals and functions. They work tirelessly for songwriters like me who, without them, would be banging it out in bars playing for people who ignore what we’re trying to do – play OUR songs. I also appreciate those who show up at my show. They give their hard earned money to see me perform. But those volunteers, they are the special ones who really make it happen. To them, I not only tip my hat, but bow lower and thank you for my fun career and great life.
